Despite their political differences, former President Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are united in their desire to investigate regulatory agency corruption and address the rise in chronic diseases in the United States.
RFK Jr. was an unexpected guest at Trump’s rally in Glendale, Arizona, on Friday night. Earlier that day, the Democrat-turned-independent endorsed Trump during remarks in Phoenix. Kennedy announced the suspension of his presidential campaign—not its termination—urging voters in blue states to support him while backing Trump in battleground states.
While addressing the crowd, Kennedy recalled a meeting with Trump shortly after the July 13 assassination
attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. He stressed that their discussion was centered on shared values and issues, despite their differing views on many topics.Kennedy highlighted Trump’s commitment to public health, saying, “One of the issues he talked about was having safe food and ending the chronic disease epidemic. Our children are the unhealthiest, sickest children in the world. Don’t you want healthy children? And don’t you want the chemicals out of our food? And don’t you want the regulatory agencies to be free from corporate corruption?” The crowd responded with enthusiastic cheers.
Kennedy continued, “Don’t you want a safe environment for your children? Don’t you want to know that the food you’re feeding them is not filled with chemicals that could cause cancer and chronic disease? And don’t you want a president who will make America healthy again?”
Kennedy also discussed his alignment with Trump on several key issues, including ending neocon-driven forever wars, restoring the middle class, and protecting free speech.
Kennedy remarked, “Trump expressed a desire to end censorship because the core of American democracy relies on the free flow of information. We know that a government that can silence its opponents has a license for any kind of atrocity.”
He added, “Can you think of any moment in history when those who were censoring were the good guys? They are always the bad guys because censorship is the first step down the slippery slope to totalitarianism. Don’t you want a president who will safeguard America’s freedoms and protect us from totalitarianism?”
