RFK Jr.: DNC Is ‘Fundamentally Undemocratic’ for Suing to Keep Me on Ballots
Former independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. criticized the Democratic National Committee (DNC) on Tuesday during an interview on Fox News Channel's "The Story," accusing the party of being “fundamentally undemocratic.” Kennedy claims that the DNC is suing to keep him on ballots because they lack confidence in their nominees.
Host Martha MacCallum pointed out that Kennedy had removed himself from ballots in several states after becoming a supporter of former President Trump. While he is off the ballot in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Arizona, Kennedy remains on the ballot in Michigan, Wisconsin, and North Carolina. MacCallum noted that his presence on these ballots could still influence the election outcome.
Kennedy responded, "We are trying to get off the ballot in all the states where I might be a spoiler and cause harm to President Trump. The irony right now is the DNC, which has been trying to keep me off the ballot, is now suing to keep me on the ballot.

Kennedy reflected on his family's legacy within the Democratic Party, stating, “I grew up in a Democratic Party that was the party of Robert Kennedy, John Kennedy. I was trying to make sure every American had the right to vote for whoever they wanted to vote for." He emphasized that over a million Americans have signed petitions to place him on the ballot and that his campaign has complied with every signature requirement.
Despite this, Kennedy contends that the Democratic Party is using legal tactics, or "lawfare," to suppress opposing candidates like himself and Green Party candidate Jill Stein. He added, "The Democratic Party doesn’t seem to have the kind of confidence in its nominees to actually go out and amplify their voices."
