Speaking at a panel with Black journalists in Chicago yesterday, Trump stated, "I did not know she was Black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn Black." Harris, of Indian and Jamaican descent, has faced these attacks amid ongoing discussions about her identity.
In a related campaign move, Trump’s running mate, Senator JD Vance, will visit the southern border in Arizona today. This visit is part of a broader campaign strategy to portray Harris as ineffective on immigration issues.
