Nolte: Axios Promotes Kamala’s False Claim About Supporting the Border Wall

The pro-Kamala Harris supporters over at the far-left Axios are pushing the ridiculous falsehood that Vice President Kamala Harris, who has often been criticized for her stance on border security, is now in favor of completing former President Trump’s southern border wall.

I’ve heard that when you enter the Axios offices, there's a place where everyone leaves their integrity at the door.

The misleading headline reads, 'Harris flip-flops on building the border wall' (I won’t link to disinformation in order to protect democracy).

According to Axios, 'If she’s elected president, Kamala Harris pledges to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on the wall along the southern border—a project she once opposed and called "un-American" during the Trump administration.'

These are lies. Complete fabrications.

In fact, Axios later inadvertently admits that their own headline is false.

But this is what happens when you are eager to act as Kamala’s mouthpiece…"

This entire false narrative has been crafted to portray Kamala Harris as more moderate than she is. The same article also falsely claims that Harris has reversed her stance on banning fracking and replacing private health insurance with 'Medicare for All.'

Harris herself has made no statements about changing these positions.

Late-night comments from her campaign do not count as official statements.

Moreover, it's important to note that neither she nor her campaign has indicated any change in her support for policies like mass amnesty, which could potentially benefit up to 30 million undocumented immigrants, decriminalizing illegal immigration, or providing free healthcare to undocumented immigrants—all while Americans struggle with exorbitant Obamacare premiums.

"The so-called 'Emergency National Security Supplemental Appropriations Act' is the thinly veiled pretext behind the false claim that Kamala Harris is now supporting the completion of Trump’s border wall. Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz aptly called it a 'steaming pile of crap.'

This Orwellian-named bill, which was proposed but not passed earlier this year in the U.S. Senate, would permit up to 35,000 illegal immigrants to enter the country each week before additional border controls are implemented. That equates to 1.8 million illegal immigrants per year.

The bill does nothing to address the catch-and-release policy, which continues to allow illegal immigrants to be released into the U.S.

Now, let’s dive into the details..."

Despite Axios's claim that Kamala Harris is now in favor of the border wall, their own article exposes the falsehood behind their headline.

After 11 paragraphs of pro-Harris rhetoric, Axios finally admits that she will not be building the wall. The article reveals that 'Harris advisers note that the bipartisan border proposal didn’t include any new funding to continue wall construction.' Instead, the bill merely 'extended the timeline for spending funds that were already allocated during Trump’s last year in office.'

In other words, Harris has no plans to build the wall, but Axios continues to push the narrative because the wall is a popular issue.

Republican vice presidential nominee Sen. JD Vance summed it up well: 'Kamala Harris is a fake. If she wanted to build the border wall, she could start right now
