Trump would impose a federal ban on abortion if re-elected. She asked if, alongside Trump, Vance could guarantee that no federal abortion ban would be enacted.

Vance responded affirmatively, emphasizing that Trump has been clear about his stance. He highlighted that Trump aims to end the abortion culture war, advocating for states like California and Ohio to maintain their own policies without federal interference.

When Welker referenced Senator Lindsey Graham’s support for a federal ban, Vance assured that Trump would reject such legislation, affirming, “He would be very clear; he will not support it.” When pressed further, Vance confirmed, “Yes, I think he would” veto a federal abortion ban, as Trump has explicitly stated.
