Blackburn: 'Illegal Is Illegal' — Criminal Aliens Will Be Deported for Unlawful Presence in the U.S."

On Friday’s episode of Fox News Channel’s “The Ingraham Angle,” Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) pushed back against Democratic criticism of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), emphasizing that individuals who enter the U.S. illegally are subject to deportation
simply because they are in the country unlawfully.

Guest host Kayleigh McEnany remarked, “The president’s approach to immigration is smart, nuanced, and aligned with the views of the American people. The left often tries to paint him as harsh or extreme, but it sounds like there may even be a program in the works to assist farmers in verifying legal status.”

Sen. Blackburn responded, “Kayleigh, I’ve been working with ICE agents today — they’re putting in 75-hour work weeks, targeting dangerous criminal illegal aliens like pedophiles, murderers, and rapists. These are the people they’re removing from our communities. No one I’ve spoken to wants gangs like Tren de Aragua or MS-13 in their neighborhoods.”

She continued, “It’s also important to highlight that DHS and Border Patrol offer a website where employers can check immigration status or assist their employees in doing so. If someone is found to be here illegally, they can be given a plane ticket home and scheduled for a legal reentry process.”

Blackburn concluded, “The bottom line is this: illegal is illegal. And we must ensure that criminal aliens — and anyone who crossed the border unlawfully — are deported.”
