Brexit leader Nigel Farage predicts that his ally Donald Trump will win the upcoming U.S. presidential election and believes Trump’s approach to reducing bureaucracy and cutting government waste could serve as a model for Western nations.
I do believe he is going to win this; there’s a lot more energy in the Trump campaign than in the Harris campaign, of that I have absolutely no doubt,” Farage said on GB News.
Speaking from Pennsylvania on Monday, Nigel Farage, leader of Reform UK, told London’s *Daily Telegraph* that a potential second Trump administration could bring transformative change by partnering with Elon Musk to tackle bureaucratic excess, inspired by Musk’s drastic cuts at X (formerly Twitter).
There are going to be mass layoffs, whole departments closing, and I’m hoping and praying that’s the blueprint for what we then do on our side of the pond,” Farage said. “Reform UK believes we’re over-bureaucratised, and none of it works. This assault on the bureaucratic state is what’s really exciting.”
A staunch Trump ally, Farage noted that Trump’s first term was hindered by a lack of understanding of Washington’s inner workings. However, he said that Trump’s team has been preparing for over 18 months to build a strong list of appointments, ready to take immediate action if elected.
Contrary to narratives promoted by establishment media on both sides of the Atlantic, Reform UK has argued that Donald Trump’s leadership is essential for restoring global stability in the wake of what they see as the Biden-Harris administration’s flawed foreign policy.
“We have never been closer to war in my entire life—what’s happening in the Middle East, in Ukraine, and what may unfold in Taiwan. America needs a strong leader; we need, frankly, a strong leader of NATO who is inclined toward peace, not war,” Farage said.
This perspective is echoed in Europe by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, whose country borders Ukraine. Orbán believes Trump is the only leader in the West with the strength to end the war with Russia and bring peace to the continent.
Farage also emphasized the significance of Trump’s return for the U.S.-UK Special Relationship, warning that “the Democrats don’t give a damn about Britain” and prefer closer alignment with the globalist European Union. He pointed to Trump’s longstanding support for a U.S.-UK trade agreement in the post-Brexit era, affirming, “Trump is a genuine friend of our country.”
