a Harris presidency would lead to even greater economic challenges. He asserted that Harris’s economic policies would include "Soviet-style price controls" and the "abolition of private health care," among other drastic measures.“If you think things are expensive now, they will get 100 times worse if Kamala is elected President,” Trump wrote. “Her plan includes implementing Soviet-style price controls and abolishing private health care. In 2019, while serving as a California senator, Kamala Harris supported eliminating private health insurance. She co-sponsored Senator Bernie Sanders’s “Medicare for All” legislation, which aimed to replace private health insurance with a single-payer system, potentially leading to delays in care.
However, in July, Harris’s campaign officials reportedly informed the New York Times that she no longer supported a single-payer health insurance program.
