"Vivek Ramaswamy: Certain Government Agencies Will Be ‘Eliminated Completely’"

On this week's broadcast of Fox News Channel's *Sunday Morning Futures*, Vivek Ramaswamy discussed plans for the upcoming Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which aims to "delete" certain government agencies.

Ramaswamy stated, “For the past 40 years, even conservatives have talked extensively about shrinking the federal government. But, ultimately, politicians haven't achieved this. Elon and I aren’t politicians; we’re businessmen approaching this from the outside. Sometimes, if you go inside, you get too accustomed to the system.”

He continued, “I commend President Trump for setting up the groundwork for success. Initially, we’ll score quick wins through executive action, demonstrating what's possible. This will lay a foundation for Congress to take significant action. While there’s much talk about cutting entitlement programs, let’s start with tackling the existing waste, fraud, and abuse. Federal contractors are currently exploiting the system, and across-the-board cuts wouldn’t harm efficiency.”

When host Maria Bartiromo asked if they would be closing departments, Ramaswamy confirmed, “We expect extensive reductions. Some agencies will be eliminated entirely. We anticipate cutting federal contractors who overcharge and reducing force in bloated areas of the government. So, yes, we’re planning for all of that.”
