Cruz remarked, “I agree with Bernie Sanders on this. Kamala Harris has been consistent in her values throughout her career. She has consistently voted far left, dating back to when she joined the Senate in 2017. Her voting record is further to the left than Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren. I’ve worked with them, and it’s hard to be more left-wing than that, but Kamala has managed to do so.”
He continued, “As a Senator, Harris once compared ICE, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, to the Ku Klux Klan during a hearing. She suggested that ICE was akin to the Klan, which the head of ICE disputed, emphasizing that they were merely law enforcement protecting American citizens. That’s the kind of rhetoric she employs.”
Cruz concluded, “Bernie Sanders is correct. The left is not upset with Kamala for seeming to distance herself from her progressive positions because they know it’s a facade. They understand that if she were to become President, she would revert to her longstanding hard-left stance.”
