(Reuters) - A federal judge has ordered U.S. prosecutors to appear in court Wednesday to address why they are seeking to dismiss criminal charges filed against New York Mayor Eric Adams, according to a court document.

The hearing comes after U.S. prosecutors formally asked a judge last week to drop the case against Adams, prompting at least a half-dozen federal prosecutors and four deputies to Adams to resign in protest.
