Dancing With the Stars’ Pro Artem Chigvintsev Faces Domestic Violence Charges

 Artem Chigvintsev, a professional dancer on "Dancing With the Stars," was arrested on Thursday in northern California and charged with domestic violence, according to the Napa County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call regarding a domestic violence incident in Yountville. Upon arrival, they found signs of potential abuse and subsequently arrested Chigvintsev, spokesperson Henry Wofford said.

Chigvintsev was cooperative during the arrest and was charged with felony domestic violence. Wofford noted that this charge is only brought forward when there is either a very credible witness or clear evidence of abuse. The investigation into the incident is still ongoing, and Wofford did not provide any details about the alleged victim or their relationship to Chigvintsev.

Chigvintsev was released later that day on a $25,000 bail. His representatives did not immediately respond to requests for comment, and it is unclear if he has retained an attorney.
