"Watch: Trump Takes the Stage in Vegas, Soaking Up the Applause"

Former President Donald Trump took center stage in Las Vegas on Saturday night, captivating a lively crowd at the Circa Resort & Casino with humor and sharp critiques of his political rivals. From entertaining jabs at former and current detractors to promising a brighter future, Trump commanded the room with his characteristic flair.

Opening his remarks, Trump reflected on his achievements and quickly pivoted to criticizing the Biden administration. “Since entering the Oval Office on Monday, I’ve been moving with urgency and historic speed to reverse every single calamity of the Biden administration,” he declared, referencing the swift actions he claimed he would take to undo Biden-era policies.

The 78-year-old Republican appeared in his element, sharing lighthearted anecdotes and engaging with the audience like a seasoned performer. “World leaders hate me,” he quipped, “and that’s how you know I’m doing it right. If they liked me, then you’d have a problem,” a comment that drew hearty laughs.

Trump also recounted a conversation with an anonymous world leader who expressed frustration at being unable to reach then-President Joe Biden. According to Trump, the leader was told Biden would return the call “in two months” due to his busy schedule. “Two months?” Trump exclaimed, pausing for comedic effect. “Yeah, he’s extremely busy… sleeping.” The audience erupted in laughter as Trump continued, suggesting the call never came and jokingly exaggerating the delays.

In a crowd-pleasing moment, Trump delivered on a campaign promise he first introduced during a June rally in Las Vegas: “No tax on tips!” Addressing workers in the hospitality industry, he vowed to eliminate taxes on tips if re-elected. “If you’re a restaurant worker, server, valet, bellhop, or even one of my caddies—I go through caddies like candy—your tips will be 100 percent yours,” he assured the audience, blending humor with policy.

Trump’s Las Vegas rally showcased his signature blend of showmanship, sharp rhetoric, and populist promises, as he rallied his supporters with a vision of a renewed and hopeful America.
